Angela is home, and Snowy Day

Alex & I picked Angela up at the airport, though while we waited for her to come out of the customs area Alex went from excitedly watching, to going a little crazy, to the resigned state of sitting in the stroller sucking his thumb. But she eventually did appear, and it was all hugs & stuff. And Rory was very happy to see her when we got home. During the drive home, the snow started...

For DC, this is a really, really snowy day, with many schools closed and quite a few businesses, too. We started out meeting Eitan's family at a coffee shop, then we took Eitan with us to Kalorama park (while Leora left for work & Jerome took Amalia home for a bit.)

We got cold & went home. After lunch we headed out to the slope on the west side of the park, just down the hill from Calvert St. We brought a cardboard box and a thick plastic bag with us, but someone we know took pity on us - they were leaving the slope & lent us their sled for the afternoon!

Then Alex thought it was funny to take his mittens off & throw them in the snow...until his hands got really, really cold (about 5 seconds later):

Then it was home again, though we stopped at Starbuck's on the way to warm up - we were all pretty frozen.
