DC summers are something else- hot and humid and pretty uncomfortable a lot of the time. Not to mention the gazillions of mosquitoes. Fall and Spring are nice here- but summers- they are hot hot hot. Every playground in DC really should have shade and some sort of water feature! We like to try to beat the heat by hanging out in the pool, indoors at cool museums, libraries, at home and in places with water (ok, we actually try to beat the heat by being away as much as possible, but when we're here...). Better yet is when we get to hang out with friends and have fun while staying cool.
