Long Island with Kate and Caryn

Of course a visit to Aunt Caryn (Jasper's mom) in Long Island... we took the train which Alex enjoyed VERY much. He was very proud of being responsible for handing his "ticket" to the train conductor so the train conductor could punch holes in it. One conductor punched out a smiley face onto Alex's ticket. Aunt Kate went with us to LI- it's always fun to visit Caryn and Jasper (and Joe- but he was away). Jasper has so many cool toys and of course there's Gaga (Caryn's mom Joyce) whom Alex wanted to see more of the next day (she only stopped in for a minute but Alex remembers her- she's always so full of enthusiasm and energy). She brought us Mondel bread... mmmmm. Back in the day, Gaga gave us juice boxes in our lunch bags after sleepovers.

A Rory expression series...
She is EXTREMELY interested in everything going on while awake.

Interjecting a differing viewpoint

Do I have to explain EVERYTHING?

Interesting thought...

Oh! Toes! Yum.

Loves the kitchen

What's this?

Off we go!

Jasper is about a year older then Alex (he's also about a half a foot taller!) They've known each other FOREVER and Alex adores Jasper. We're not exactly sure what Jasper is teaching Alex but they were really excited to play with the letters.

Alex holding Baby Rory. He announced today that he's very gentle with her and that she's a good baby.
Aunt Kate setting up the marble run- who's having the most fun here?

We went to a playground by Caryn's house with sprinklers and all sorts of jungle gyms... Alex was a little sleepy. Some days he refuses to nap despite exhaustion, occasionally he tells us he needs a nap. This day he told us he didn't need a nap- here he is enjoying the playground...

Jasper and Caryn enjoyed the sprinkler

Buying tickets- VERY exciting
