Central Park and family

We stayed with Pat and Bart in NYC, which was really nice. We got to spend some good quality time with them catching up. We also got to spend time with Angela's family. Rory got to meet the family and visit NYC- her first big trip! One day we went to Central Park- started at Columbus Circle, walked along the CPSouth and saw the horses then wandered into the park. We went to a gigantic playground (one of the largest I've ever seen). A sandbox the size of our playground at home with interesting play structures in it. Two different water areas and much more- we didn't even see most of it. Alex played by the sprinkler, nearby was a small sitting area with shade and astroturf... he really enjoyed this.
We met up with Paupau, Andrew, Alice and Allan at the Carousel and realized that we had to move the car. So Peter hustled in a cab and arrived 10 mins after the time the car had to be moved and we had already recevied a $65 ticket. ughh. even with the cab fare, still cheaper than parking in a garage! Anyway, onto the pics...

The carousel! Two different sized horses... Alex rode a small horse- the big ones are about the size of real horses (which scared Alex)

All of a sudden Alex took Allan's hand and started walking

Everyone pointing out ducks

A water pipe leak created an impromptu water park

Peanut butter and jelly sandwhich... this hungry bird picked Alex as the weakest link

We stopped for some lunch (Alex again insisted that he didn't need a nap. Re: naps- he's transitioning out of a nap but still needs some sort of nap. Some days he doesn't take a nap at all, some days brief naps, other days he'll take a 3hr nap. Really makes planning tough.) He was so excited to have a chocolate milkshake.

And he's out
