Honestly, we're not sure how things are going. Rory is on fluconazole (Diflucan) for her thrush and since then has had abdominal discomfort, increasing fussiness and increasingly watery poop. She was switched over to breastmilk in her tube feeds around midnite last night and today seems to be losing weight- we'll see what her weight is tomorrow morning. We think it's most likely due to the medication but are concerned that she is developing enterocolitis again (please please no...) Luckily we have an appointment with the pediatric surgeon and Linda tomorrow (before the roads close down fo the pope!). If she continues to lose weight tomorrow, or seem worse in anyway we switch back to Neocate. On a positive note, she actually gave a couple of sucks on a bottle (didn't really drink anything but she did actually go through the motions!).
Alex is doing much better today- we're making a huge effort to include him in our conversations and discussions of the daily schedules. We are making a point of telling him when and where we are going and when we will be back. This seems to be making a difference because he is much more agreeable about things... this may be wishful thinking but he was hitting less today- we'll see if this continues.
From the "good camera" I just uploaded some great pictures from a couple of weeks ago to now. Enjoy!
