words!

Alex is full of words and cheer, still hangs back watching groups before joining into any activities. He says uh-oh all the time when he drops things and taught his buddy Eitan to say uh-oh as well (we hear Eitan used it appropriately after smashing one of his mom's baking dishes). Alex is learning colors- says blue and purple- enjoys using his bathtub finger-paints. He says some of his friends names, kitty kitty, dog, go (dog in chinese) cheese, cocoa (er... more milk than cocoa), giraffe, hippo, ma for monkey, up and down, hat, coat, hot and cold (actually douns different and... he enunciates the "t". Other words, book, all done (not just done,but all done) bath, wipe...

He clearly understands what we say- puts things away, picks up the things we ask him to (if he's in the mood) like the duck, he likes to clean and wipe and put lotion on his legs. Big smiles when he catches a ball, very excited about balloons- especially if you tie them to a spoon so it won't fly away like in the book Emily's balloon... (thanks Kate).

There's something else he loves to say- but we're not sure what it is... but he's quite insistant when he says it- repeats it all the time. "nana-noosh". Please feel free to let us know what you think nananoosh means because he says it often and looks at us expectantly.

Full of sass and spunk he enjoys tickling people and telling amusing babble stories that he finds quite hilarious. The other night after we read him his story and he drank some milk, he sat there babbling a lot and laughing to us (which we found quite amusing so we laughed along with him). All in all a joy- can't wait to spend twenty hours flying with him- we're packing plenty of books, toys and snacks.
