Busy Weekend

What a busy weekend and week. We're thinking of Pau Pau- hoping she recovers and goes home from the hospital soon.

This Friday was the 100th day of school. Alex celebrated at school as did Rory. Can't believe they've been in school for 100 days this year, Rory's fist 100 days... she's getting so big and grown up. Alex got his flu vaccine- hooray he was able to get the nasal mist. The kids went to a Valentine's Day dance and decorated cupcakes. We came home and made yummy chicken dumplings. Sunday we took a class- Art Investigators at the National Gallery of Art- this month they looked at Jim Dine and did an awesome sculpture project.

One of my favorite pictures! Had to include it- not sure if I posted it before.

Rory, art investigator

Rory and Amalia. We were looking at the Matisse cut-outs after class. The kids were trying to draw their own versions of the faces. Amalia walked up to the Matisse and put her post-it on it to start drawing.... thank goodness she didn't have a pen. We thought we were going to be barred from the museum.

Alex and Rory are becoming quite the expert dumpling makers!
