We were really excited to see their place- we had never seen their house before. The house is fantastic. It was originally built in 1776 and their renovations are great. The kitchen is huge, open and light, they expanded their screened in porch and created a great room, their former living room is where their piano is (that Alex loves), the whole place has all these great details. They have all these cape shells around their bathroom and puffer fish hanging from the ceiling and a GREAT picture of gramps, paul and skip at the outermost house on their wall. No, we didn't take a gazillion pictures of it- we were pretty brain-fried by the time we arrived. There may be pics on the other camera whenever we upload them, but for now we seem to only have one pic of alex at the piano.
Anyway, Alex had such an amazing time playing with Katie and it was great to connect with Lisa and Dana. They were super gracious letting us stay with them on a school/work night! We're sorry the weekend was so busy that they couldn't come enjoy the camp/lake place we were at for Christine's wedding.
Christine and David rented out a camp for their wedding weekend. The facilities were all available for the wedding guests to use- sailing, kayaking, the lake, places to hike. We stayed in cabins (ours was right on the beach- fantastic!) The meals were altogether, they rented a climbing wall. Alex experienced his first camp-fire and made s'mores... great weekend- will have more in the next post.
Alex on the train-
he had a good time, read stories,
made a sticker story (work in progress),
played with playdough, ate, napped and enjoyed being on a TRAIN

alex and atlas on the beach by the campfire
alex noticed that the fire would go pop pop pop and embers would come off of it, he thought it was a lot like fireworks...

Alex playing the piano at Lisa, Dana and Katie's house. We don't have a piano- he seems to really enjoy it- this is maybe the fifth time he's played with one? But then, he seems to really enjoy almost anything musical!
