roll over!

We just realized how soon we will be leaving for NYC and Cape Cod! Eep! Daunting task to pack for a toddler and baby for 6 weeks. Not sure we can fit everything into our car... what a great car. It's been through so much and still going- limping along pathetically but going! Alex is very excited about going to the cape, he says he wants to see the fish pier and the lighthouse right away. He's also excited because some friends will be coming to visit this summer! Hooray. He's also excited about going to NYC and asks to see people there.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... things continue to be good here. Rory is more alert and chatty everyday. Curious, wants to see everything that is going on and be a part of the conversation. Alex is doing well, recently he's been more moody and his sleep is all off again so we will have to work on that... again. Once his sleep improves, we're sure his moodiness will too. Joiwind recommended a couple of books on childrearing that are fantastic: Raising the Spirited Child and Kids, Parents and Power Struggles. Whenever we reach a tough spot or potentially tough spot and I remember and do things as I learned- they work. It's amazing. Some of it may seem like a duh no-brainer for you, but when you're in the thick of it it's often hard to realize the obvious.
