excellent progress

Rory had her followup with GI today- her weight was 5140 gm (about 11 lbs 5oz). Her weight gain since she was discharged averaged out to around 40 gm per day- which is excellent. Sooo, since she has been nursing well, the plan is to cut out 4 hours of tube feeds and if she continues to gain about 20 gm/day then in two days we cut another 4 horus of tube feeds for a couple of days and again monitor weight gain if she's still doing well, cut another four hours etc etc until she is off of tube feeds. She will continue her diflucan (thrush medicine) for 21 days. Her butt looks great- no real rash at all. She's looking all chubby and cute... but she's very fussy today. She didn't get a lot of sleep, hopefully she will fall asleep soon and get the rest she needs!
