So they stopped all food at midnight. Fortunately, she has mostly slept since then, on my lap. In another hour they will take her to start prep for the pull-through procedure. It will probably take about 5 hours and the surgery starts around 730am. After that, she gets no food until she poops, which could be up to 4 or 5 days, or right away.

The big day
It's a good thing that Rory's surgery is today - she prolapsed a bit last night and waiting any longer could mean more problems with that. She actually prolapsed around 10PM or so, and we had the surgeon paged at that time. But there were 6 traumas in the er that required surgical attention, so he wasn't able to come by to take a look until 5am! At which time he said it looked fine and would be ok for the next couple of hours until surgery.
