Alex is obsessed with trucks- he loves to look at fire engines. A couple of weeks ago there was a big fire nearby and Alex got to see lots of fire trucks and the fire chief put his helmet on Alex's head. He also got to see giant cranes, dumpsters and backhoes (excavators?) He loves to see construction vehicles at rest or working... and he loves to play with trucks now.

Alex's new sandtoy... a backhoe (much larger than it looked in the picture online - and not as big as it looks here!) He played with it for hours, wanted to hold it for his nap and to sleep, asks for it in the car...
Another favorite activity! Playing with water in the sink- he calls it washing hands, or washing dishes- he started doing this in Cape Cod with Nana. Now rarely a day goes by without spending some time with water play.
