saturday play

This morning I met up with Amie & Zoe and Aliza & Emmit and we walked over to the Masonic Temple on 16th street where there is a children's music event on the first saturday of each month (I think.) Tamra and Keith met us there, so Alex had a bunch of kids to play with. He had a good time with the music and dancing, but the funniest thing was when he and Tess were holding hands. I wasn't able to get any good pictures in the temple, but here's a bad one of Emmit, Zoe, Alex, and Zoe's Nanny's son (whose name I don't know) sitting on the step on the edge of the room where the musician was doing his thing.

After nap we headed over to Lila's house for some pool & play. Here's Lila - and you can see Owen in the background - he had once again fallen off of the edge of the water slide. Eventually he decided that the only way to keep it upright was to go down head first...

And here's the star of this particular blog. He's now able to count to ten and says sentences up to 5 or 6 words, so he's pretty grown up!

Running with a cup (favorite toy of all of the kids when there's water around.) If the cup gets a dent in it he says 'wrinkled. help.'

The next three pictures are a funny series in which Alex and Owen are doing exactly the same thing at the same time (which they are doing on purpose b/c they each think that the other is super cool!) Cooperative play, or something...
