We have pictures coming soon... this past weekend, friends Darin and Alicia Lee (no realtionship) came from Boise to visit. We had a great time seeing them- they're loving life in Idaho, traveling and skiing a lot. It was great to see old friends from Buffalo. They enjoyed meeting our friends here in DC and the cacophony of a roomful of almost two-year olds...!

After they left, Peter's parents, Bill and Susan arrived (Nana and Gramps) and Alex had a fantastic time with them. Exciting trips to the zoo listening to the gibbon chorus, seeing the birds, lots of playtime in the playground after the weather warmed up- a beautiful 70 plus sunny degrees today. Angela was absent a lot due to work related activities, and Peter had quite a number of projects as well. This did not preclude a tasty homemade dumpling noodle soup meal, which was followed up the next night by delicious El Salvadorian take out when Grandma Jill (whom Alex has been calling An-ma) came over and joined the whole calamity!

Two things to note- Alex spoke with Grandma Lee on the phone- in Chinese... said nee hao and called her pau pau. En route to chinese class he was able to say ear, eyes, mouth, nose in Chinese! The second thing- since Nana and Gramps came, not only did they add more excitement and color to his days, but he is ever so much more verbal... he misses them already- looking around for Nana! when he got home from the playground.
