Playdates, signing, walking... whatta boy!

Well, Alex has been sleeping in the study and just switched back to his room so hopefully, we'll post some photos soon. (The building came and fixed the ceiling and painted the area where there was a huge water leak- it smelled terrible and we waited until the paint dried etc before letting Alex sleep there).

So, Alex has been very active and happy these past couple of days though fussy with his eating. He'll eat fruit, his organic no sugar added o's (we should call them cheer-less-os) and of course, Jerome's (Eitan's dad) homemade gourmet pizza. We were over at their place last night after playing in the playground- the boy played in Eitan's corral and then we had dinner. Eitan was very aggressive trying to hug and kiss Alex and, at one point pinned him down (his 26lbs to Alex's scrawny 20.4lbs) and gave him a big kiss on the cheek- at which point Alex burst into tears and refused to venture far from one of Peter or Angela's laps.

He's become a pretty active signer- he signs when he wants more food, when he's done with whatever it is he wants to be done with, he's signing when he wants a bottle- it's great, and he's learning new signs fast (well we think it's fast- we're looking up signs to teach him). He makes that tonal sound from music class when we're putting things away. He's taking a few steps here and there. He took five after his playdate with Lilla and Tess and then in the playground he took three... so grown up. There are pictures- they will be posted hopefully tonight!
